Ms. Amy Reads "A Christmas Prayer"

On Tuesday, Ms. Amy Parker came to Little Lights and read one of her books to us. She read "A Christmas Prayer". Ms. Amy used to live in Watertown and she has written several children's books. We were very glad to have her visit. She brought a craft, cookies, and juice boxes for us. Thank you Ms. Amy. We hope you come again.

Little Pilgrims

Little Pilgrims

Thanksgiving Dinner

23 little Pilgrims and their teachers enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner today. We had turkey, dressing, potatoes, green beans, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, rolls, and pumpkin pie--Yum, Yum. Thanks to Ms. Betty, (Kelsie's great-grandmother), and Mr. Mike, (Kelsie's great-uncle) for preparing the food. It was delicious. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Making Pumpkin Pies

Today each class made a pumpkin pie. We mixed pumpkin, vanilla pudding, milk, spice and cool whip, and topped the pie with cool whip. The best part was licking the pans and spoons, and then eating the pies for lunch.

Thanksgiving Activities

Today was full of Thanksgiving activities. For our Bible story, Ms. Nell told the story of the 5 pieces of Indian corn and what they represented. Then, each preschooler picked 5 kernals of corn and as they dropped them one by one on the plate, they told what they were thankful for. Very good story, and even the 2 year old class told what they were thankful for.
