Ms. Martha Comes to Sing

Ms. Martha Walraven visited Little Lights on Thursday to play and sing for the preschoolers. She sang some of our favorites such as: "Who's Gonna Feed Them Hogs", "Keep on the Sunny Side", and our all time favorite, "How Much is That Doggy in the Window", that we all joined in singing. We appreciate Ms. Martha so much. This is her second year to sing with us, and we hope she will come for many more. She celebrated her 90th birthday last August, and just is an inspiration to all of us. Thanks, Ms. Martha. We love you.

Check out the video. See how much fun we had.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

To celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, two of our moms came and read a Dr. Seuss book to the preschoolers. Ms. Tiffany, Bethany Luttrell's mom, and Ms. Bobbie, Madelyn Eastes' mom came and the children really enjoyed listening to them read. Thank you so much, Ms. Tiffany, and Ms. Bobbie.

S is for Spaghetti

The week of Feb. 24-26 was "S" week. The teachers prepared a good "S" lunch for the preschoolers. We had spaghetti, sweet applesause, savory corn on the cob, simply wonderful rolls, and strawberry shortcake. This lunch was a big hit with the boys and girls, as many ate more than one helping. Afterward, some even enjoyed getting "squirted" with whipped cream.

Ms. Becky Comes to Sing and Read

Last Thursday, Feb. 26, Shane Lorenzen's mom, Ms. Becky came to sing with and read to the four year old class. She first read them a story, then they enjoyed singing a song with her. Thanks, Ms. Becky. We will be looking forward to you coming in March.
